Story of Self

"If you don't know where you're from, you'll

have a hard time saying where you're going" - Wendell Berry

The importance of Self Identity - everyone is unique and what makes you so special. This project is intended to draw out memories, smells, sights, sounds, faces, and voices deep within our memories. The "Where I'm From" Poem originated by George Ella Lyon and the activity is a wonderful exploration in belonging.

People often create mandalas to form a simple representation of who they are. In this project, we created vision representations to symbolize the important things in our lives in a graphical presentation of who we are.
