These NEW COLORED PENCIL TECHNIQUES helped us to prepare our final artwork in color.
1. Gradient - a gradual gradation of color from dark to light
2. Burnish - when color is solid with no white showing from the paper
3. Hatching - a directional shading of color
4. Cross Hatching - a technique used to neutralize the directional shading of color
5. Blending - when two colors blend to create a secondary color
6. Color Wheel - understanding the concepts of primary colors and secondary colors
7. 3-Dimensional Modeling (3D) - where the concept of light and dark colors model the illusion of dimension on a flat 2-dimensional surface. While highlight or light colors appear to come forward and darker colors appear to fall backward in the shadows.
