"Informal Writing" is a strategy for middle school students who are writing to learn. Throughout our Design Modeling course, students have engaged in 3-5 minute essay writing as a means to strengthen their thinking and writing. The "Quick Write" strategy allows 21st Century Hawks to think and write in an informal method to express themselves in "Personal Reflection" and "Connecting Knowledge" in an organized (essay format) manner.
5-Minute Essay - "Personal Reflection"
Think about your results this Semester (Q1 and Q2)
Write a 5 minute essay that includes an introduction, body, and conclusion
Optional prompts:
What have you learned in Q2?
Are you satisfied with the grades you have earned so far?
Be specific, what will you do to succeed in Q2 and Semester1?
Write down 2 reminders to help you.
