These WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES helped us to prepare our water project series.
1. Dry Brush - pigment on a dry brush creates a texture with the brush strokes
2. Glazing - building color on dry color is one way to create depth
3. Graded Wash (Gradient) - understanding that pigment can be watered down to create dark to light gradient
4. Solid Wash - water color pigment will not always cooperate to create a solid base, and that's okay
5. Wet in Wet Gradient - applying pigment in a wet surface can create natural blooms of color
6. Wet in Wet Drop Color - applying pigment into a wet color pigment can create depth of color and natural blends (blooms of color) that make water color such an expressive medium
